Privacy Policy

Last updated November 4, 2026

This policy explains what information Nebula Codex collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to run the site. We don't sell your data.

1. What we collect

  • Account details: your email address and password (stored securely by our authentication provider; we never see the password). If you sign in with Google we receive your name, email and profile picture from Google.
  • Profile: the display name, username, bio and avatar you choose in Settings.
  • Your content: files you upload and the titles, descriptions, tags, AI tool names, comments and reactions you post.
  • Activity: notifications about your posts, reports you submit, and anonymous view counts on posts.

2. How we use it

  • To run your account and show your posts, profile and notifications.
  • To personalize your For You feed based on what you view and interact with.
  • To keep the community safe: reviewing reports, enforcing the zero-NSFW rule and limiting spam.
  • To fix problems and improve the site.

3. What is public

Your posts, display name, avatar, comments and reaction counts are visible to anyone who visits the site. Your email address is never shown publicly.

4. Services we rely on

  • Supabase: database, file storage and sign-in.
  • Vercel: hosting the website.
  • Google:only if you choose “Continue with Google”.

5. Cookies and local storage

We use your browser's storage to keep you signed in, remember your display settings, and personalize your For You feed. For that, we keep a record on your device of the topics and creators you view, react to and comment on. It isn't sent to us, and you can clear it any time in Settings → For You recommendations. If you're signed in, your feed also uses your reactions and comments on the site. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

6. Your choices and rights

  • Edit your profile any time in Settings.
  • Delete individual posts from your Dashboard.
  • Delete your whole account in Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, posts, files, comments and reactions.

To request a copy of your data or ask a privacy question, use the Report button on the post or contact the site owner.

7. Children

Nebula Codex isn't for children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has an account, we'll delete it.

8. Changes

If we change this policy in a significant way, we'll post a notice on the site.
